Whiskey Tasting Experience
Whiskey Tasting with Langton's
A guided experience through Irish Whiskeys & the history of distilling in Kilkenny
Tastings will be led by one of our in-house Whiskey Experts. Each tasting will be comprised of the four styles of Irish Whiskey: Pot Still, Single Malt, Single Grain and Blend. Served in 20ml servings with a personalised information sheet for each guest.
We will be discussing the history of Kilkenny including The Red Book Of Ossory and the first mention of distillation in Ireland dating back to 1324.
Langtons was established in 1938 and has a long tradition with Irish Whiskey throughout its history. Indeed the last whiskey distillery in Kilkenny City was on the site of Langtons Set Theatre. Today we are proud members of The Kilkenny Whiskey Guild
The whiskey tasting takes about 90 minutes, and is €30 per person (Minimum numbers of 10)
